WHEREAS interest is key, thus if the Client/Student has no interest to learn and does not want to learn from Tutor with interest, Tutor will not engage further. Tutor has found, and knows, those who have interest are successful in learning.

WHEREAS to those interested, the Tutor provides learning skills to improve Student’s knowledge to apply in his/her education and life. In agreeing to work with Tutor, the learning skills in the booklet “The Technology of Study” based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard is the first introduction in working to achieve and fully engage the subject of needed study. It is provided for “learning use” by Tutor during the scheduled tutoring appointment/s.

If one hour increment, the first half hour is learning how to study with the booklet, the next half hour is APPLYING it to the needed subject. If two-hour increment, the first hour is learning how to study with the booklet, the next hour is APPLYING it to the needed subject. Once completed, the Student is now able to apply study technology to help him/her in life.

WHEREAS Tutor provides the following incentives for using study technology in tutoring subject:

  • Every 100 words cleared by Student per booklet, 15 minutes of FREE tutoring time
  • Every 50 demonstrations by Student per booklet, 15 minutes of FREE tutoring time

WHEREAS Parent/Guardian is highly encouraged to help Student use study technology in between Tutor appointments on Student’s studies. This will help drill the application of study technology, speeding up results.

WHEREAS, Student, now having learned HOW to use the study technology is able to move forward on his/her own in the subject. Student can show Tutor their ability to do so with confidence, examples, and grade. This is Tutor’s greatest success, to see Student success!

WHEREAS if at ANY point AFTER booklet completion and Tutor no longer contracted for the Subject above, the Student gets bogged down in contracted Subject again, they may call Tutor to help pinpoint where they were last doing well (per booklet) to help move forward again. Tutor agrees up to three contacts on the contracted subject above, at no cost.

Student Study Assessment

The Student’s current study and learning abilities will be assessed during a free 30 minute interview. Tutor will estimate length of time potentially needed to get to a stable Subject study ability.

It is understood everyone learns at a different pace depending on their study knowledge, where there is no guarantee on the assessed time frame. It could take less; it could take more time. Assessment of further time needed is done before and after each of the rates worked through below.

Parent/Guardian, Student, and Tutor work together for assessments.

STUDENT TOOLS NEEDED

Composition book and several pens or pencils.

Dictionaries, these first three are recommended 1. Webster Student High School dictionary; 2. Oxford College dictionary; 3. World Book two set dictionaries. These can be found at used bookstores, Goodwill, etc.  for a reasonable price. To help build your library of dictionaries, one can buy a younger “Student” dictionary version, finding the specific subject dictionary like an “Engineering Dictionary”, and any illustrated dictionaries are good. These are going to help in one’s study endeavor. NO Pocket dictionaries. They send one in circles.

 

Tutoring Fee

A professional fee is agreed to be paid before the start of Tutoring this contracted Subject. One-hour increments are used and paid for, no 30 minute or 15 minute increments. The scale rate is as follows:

1.  1-hour rate $40

2.  2 – 9 hour rate $35/hr; first payment $70. After the first 2 hours, assessment is made to how much more time may be needed. If 10 – 14 hr package realized, the $70 goes to that chosen package rate having completed the first 2 hours.

Examples: $70 for first 2 hours + package #3 leaves start of 8 plus more hrs x $30 = $240 payment due to move to package #3. Or -

$70 for first 2 hours + package #4 leaves start of 13 plus more hrs x $25 = $325 payment due to move to package #4.

3.  10 - 14 hour package $30/hr; first payment $300. After 10 hours an assessment will be made to determine how much more time may be needed. If 15-20 hr package realized, the $300 goes to that package rate having completed the first 10 hours of the package. Example: $300 for first 10 hours + package #4 leaves 5 plus more hrs x $25 = $125 payment due to start package #4.

4.  Most used and recommended: 15 - 20 hour package $25/hr; payment of $375 for first 15 hours, then an assessment may be done to know how much more time may be needed. Any additional hours beyond 20 hrs continue at a $25/hr rate. In purchasing this package, any unused hours below 15 hrs will be refunded at the $25/hr rate.
